The FedEx Express delivery service to D,C., and Maryland will resume, according to a FedEx spokesman.
FedEx is the sole U.S. delivery carrier for FedEx Express Express and other FedEx Direct Mail service packages, which is expected to start shipping out by the end of the month.
The FedEx spokesman said FedEx Express deliveries will begin being available to DPD customers in the District of Columbia in April.
FedEx Express delivers most packages to customers in D. C., Virginia, Maryland, and other locations.
It also ships most of its freight to destinations in Florida, New York, and New Jersey.
Customers in the Washington region are expected to be able to pick up FedEx Express orders by the second half of the year.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The service will begin again for DPD in March, when FedEx Express shipments will begin to be available.
FedEx customers in Virginia, Florida, and California can now pick up orders from FedEx Express.
